On August 14th, the IRS released Revenue Procedure 2008-50. Rev. Proc. 2008-50 is 179-pages long, and updates the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS), which the IRS last updated in 2006 with Rev. Proc. 2006-27.
The IRS has issued a number of handy guides to Rev. Proc. 2008-50, including:
- A special 2-page edition of Employee Plan News, August 14, 2008;
- A 6-page summary which compares the changes to EPCRS by Rev. Proc. 2008-50;
- A 12-page topical index for Rev. Proc. 2008-50.
